A série de pinturas explora influências das ilustrações de lendas antigas da América Latina e das gravuras japonesas de fábulas, mitos e lendas. Pretende evocar uma sensação de calma, mas com a sugestão de que algo está acontecendo - cabe a quem vê completar a história. A série também faz alusão à lenda Unmei no akai ito, que afirma que o destino conecta pessoas através de um fio vermelho, independentemente do tempo ou da distância.
The series of paintings draws on influences from ancient Latin American illustrations of legends and Japanese prints of fables, myths and legends. It is intended to evoke a sense of calm, but with the suggestion that something is happening – it is up to the viewer to complete the story. The series also alludes to the legend Unmei no akai ito, which states that fate connects people through a red thread, regardless of time or distance.
