Partindo de uma figura feminina e um coiote, a série investiga deslocamentos físicos e emocionais, criando corpos híbridos nos quais humano, animal e paisagem se confundem. As colagens exploram relações ambíguas de proteção e ameaça, pertencimento e fuga, em narrativas suspensas entre sonho, memória e travessia.
BODY: BORDER | Starting from the image of a female figure and a coyote, the series investigates physical and emotional displacement, creating hybrid bodies in which human, animal, and landscape merge. The collages explore ambiguous relationships of protection and threat, belonging and escape, through suspended narratives shaped by dream, memory, and passage.

No contexto das migrações, “coiote” é o termo utilizado para descrever indivíduos que organizam ou facilitam a travessia ilegal de pessoas através de fronteiras internacionais, especialmente entre o México e os Estados Unidos. A atividade envolve riscos extremos: travessias por desertos e rios, exploração financeira, abandono em áreas remotas, deportação e morte.
In the context of migration, “coyote” is the term used to describe individuals who organize or facilitate the illegal crossing of people through international borders, especially between Mexico and the United States. The activity involves extreme risks: crossing deserts and rivers, financial exploitation, abandonment in remote areas, deportation, and death.

Na série, porém, o coiote deixa de funcionar apenas como referência política ou geográfica e passa a operar como estrutura emocional. O corpo em trânsito torna-se abrigo provisório, território instável e espaço de transformação. Surge então a pergunta: o que acontece com um corpo quando ele vive tempo demais em situação de passagem?
In the series, however, the coyote ceases to function solely as a political or geographic reference and becomes an emotional structure. The body in transit turns into a temporary shelter, an unstable territory, and a space of transformation. A question then emerges: what happens to a body when it lives for too long in a state of passage?
